"Make A Promise Day" — May 4th

May The Fourth Be With You!

Matthew Cossolotto, Creator of PEPTalks and Make A Promise Day (May 4th — May The Fourth Be With You!), Unveils New PEPTalk Titled “What The ‘H’ Happened?”

Stop The Snap!  Expanding lineup of PEPTalks, Cossolotto’s new Personal Empowerment Program is designed for delivery toward the end of a conference or training seminar to help attendees guard against backsliding into old, disempowering habits and mindsets.

Apr 07, 2011 – Matthew Cossolotto (aka The Podium Pro) is expanding his lineup of Personal Empowerment Programs (“PEPTalks”) with a new presentation specifically designed for delivery toward the end of a motivational conference or training seminar.  He calls this new PEPTalk “What The ‘H’ Happened? – Harness Your HabitForce, Avoid Backsliding, and Snap the Rubber Band Syndrome.”

“Here’s the post-conference scenario that my ‘What-The-H’ presentation is designed to prevent,” Cossolotto explained.  “I ask the audience to project a couple of weeks into the future.  It was a great conference.  Individual attendees or the sponsoring organization spent lots of money and invested precious time and energy.  People were all fired up, motivated, inspired, ready to implement those empowering new ideas or techniques they learned about.  But a few weeks later, most participants feel like Al Pacino in Godfather III.  You know … just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in.  ‘They’ refers to your old habits.  That’s also the ‘H’ in the title… what I call HabitForce.  Far too often, after we attend a motivational seminar or even read an inspiring book, we snap back into our old, familiar, comfort zone of habits and mindsets.  In short, you go back to being who you were BEFORE the seminar.  This presentation provides the tools people need to guard against snapping back into old, disempowering patterns.  Put simply: I want to Stop The Snap!”

Snap The Rubber Band Syndrome:  If this backsliding scenario sounds familiar, Cossolotto says you’re not alone.  We’ve all been there, done that.  Despite the best of intentions, most of us tend to snap back to our familiar patterns of thought and behavior.  Cossolotto calls this “The Rubber Band Syndrome.”  During a seminar — or even while reading a self-help book – we stretch the rubber band a little bit.  But after the conference is over, the band tends to snap back to its original, tension-free shape. Think of this slack state as the rubber band’s Comfort Zone.

As Cossolotto explains:  “Your personal Comfort Zone is the sum total of your routine habits and mindsets. I call this HabitForce and I wrote a book about it.  If you attend a seminar then slide backwards… if you’re feeling stuck… if you set goals and fail to reach them… if you’re falling short of your potential… if you feel like some irresistible, negative force is holding you back … don’t give up. Help is on the way. I know exactly what the “H” is happening.  Your personal operating system has a glitch. You need to reprogram your HabitForce software so it works for you, not against you.  And that’s what my ‘What-The-H’ presentation is all about.”

In this empowering, end-of-conference presentation, participants will learn how to:

•   Use the Three Rs — Recognize, Reject and Replace — to reprogram your HabitForce;
•   Employ the Six Axioms of Personal Empowerment to achieve your goals, keep your promises, and reach your potential
•   Replace disempowering FAILURE habits with their SUCCESS counterparts
•   Reject finger-pointing and take responsibility for your life
•   Stop undermining yourself with negative self-talk
•   Use positive affirmations and promises to reinforce SUCCESS habits
•   Harness the Ebenezer Effect and the Power of Making a Promise.

Earlier this year, Cossolotto announced the launch of a new lineup of Personal Empowerment Programs (PEPTalks).  He is now offering these uplifting and empowering presentations to various audiences locally and around the country including corporations, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies.  To book Cossolotto as a guest speaker for your next event, visit http://www.ThePodiumPro.com or email BookMatthew@ThePodiumPro.com.
